Right Start BASIC Program $480 or $45 per month

Here are all the things you get with our BASIC Right Start Puppy Program:

  • Early detection of potential physical problems through examinations every 3 weeks of your puppy's development.  Most problems are easier and cheaper to treat, and give better outcomes, if found early.

  • Behavioral assessments every 3 weeks during the exam to ensure your puppy is developing into a happy, confident, well-adjusted dog.  Problems such as fearfulness can be addressed before they have serious negative consequences on your puppy's quality of life.

  • Nutritional assessments every 3 weeks during the exam to ensure the optimal diet for your puppy's age, breed, and size.  Prevents problems such as panosteitis, a painful condition in large breed dogs who are given too much protein and fat in their diets.

  • Positive reinforcement training tips to help your puppy learn potty training, leash walking, accepting nail trims and grooming, what are appropriate things to chew on, etc.  Helps your puppy easily adapt to living in a family situation.

  • Prevention of parvovirus, a highly contagious serious to fatal disease that is extremely common in this area.  Treatment involves hospitalization, IV fluid, medication to stop vomiting, IV antibiotics, around the clock nursing care, assisted feedings, at a cost of thousands of dollars.

  • Prevention of distemper, a highly contagious serious to fatal disease that is less common in this area, but incidence is increasing as more puppies are shipped from other areas.    Distemper causes vomiting and diarrhea, respiratory infections, and sometimes permanent neurological problems such as tremors or seizures.  Puppies may need treatment for all 3 clinical signs, resulting in thousands of dollars in vet care.

  • Prevention of hookworms which can cause bloody diarrhea, failure to gain weight, and anemia.  Hookworms can also infect your human family members.  If not treated, hospitalization for hookworm anemia can easily cost $1000 for blood transfusions.

  • Prevention of roundworms which can cause diarrhea, failure to gain weight, and even intestinal blockages which can require emergency surgery at a cost of $2500 or more.  Roundworms can also infect your human family members and cause serious disease.

  • Prevention of rabies, a 100% fatal disease in dogs and cats and humans.  If your unvaccinated puppy is bitten by an unvaccinated animal, it will have to be quarantined at the pound for 10 days to make sure it doesn't develop signs of rabies.  If your unvaccinated puppy bites a person, the person can demand that your puppy is tested for rabies.  The only way to do that is to send your puppy's head to the lab for brain testing.  Obviously that is not a survivable test.

  • Prevention of leptospirosis, a bacteria found in rodent urine that can cause liver and kidney failure.  If diagnosed and treated early, it will only cost around $1000 to cure.  Treatment after liver and/or kidney failure has started can easily run $5000 or more in a specialty hospital.

  • Prevention of kennel cough, which honestly isn't usually that serious of a disease, but it sure is annoying to both the puppy and your family.  Some puppies do get secondary infections which can be more complicated and require hospitalization for oxygen therapy, which easily costs over $1000 just for one night.

  • The microchip will make it so much easier to claim your puppy should he get lost or stolen.  It makes it much more difficult for anyone to dispute ownership, which can save you court costs if needed.

  • All house call fees are included for your convenient home veterinary care.

  • Fear Free Certified veterinarian and technician ensures your puppy enjoys his vet care.

  • Your pet's personal care team is always available for questions and concerns via email, text, or phone.  You talk directly to the people who treat your puppy!
